Akvile studied Lithuanian Philology and Direction as well as Theater Studies at Klaipeda University. From 2006 to 2010, she worked for the Klaipeda Art Exhibition Hall. Her responsibilities included areas such as exhibition and event organization, press and public relations work and collaboration on international projects.
In the context of the Robert Bosch Stiftung‘s program «Cultural Managers from Central and Eastern Europe» she worked from October 2010 till October at the ZKM | Zentrum für Kunst und Medientechnologien in Karlsruhe and supported the institution primarily by curating and organizing the exhibit «The Global Contemporary: Art Worlds After 1989».
Since 2011 she works as a freelancer curator with different cultural institutions and art-science or social projects. The last curatorial research work was for Klaipeda Culture Communication Center (KCCC) based on the international collaboration between Lithuania, Kaliningrad, Belarus in the frame of the project GOING PUBLIC, initiated by Goethe Institute in Vilnius.
Currently she works on different cultural projects, writes dance critic texts and does the public relations and communications works for the artist group FISH EYE.
