Andra Vaida

Andra is a cultural facilitator and manager based in Timisoara and Berlin.
She holds a Master’s degree in European Cultural Politics (West University of Timisoara, Faculty of Fine Arts) and she is currently completing another Master’s degree in World Heritage Studies at the Brandenburgische Technische Universität Cottbus.

Andra was a fellow in the “Cultural Managers from Central and Eastern Europe” program at the Trans-Media-Akademie Hellerau in Dresden from 2007 to 2008. During that time she developed the project “Send & Receive_media art exchange_RO/DE,” bridging between new media art scenes in Romania and Germany. In addition, she co-initiated, together with her colleagues from the fellowship, the program series "WM>08: Please, don't wash separately!" including film and music projects from Central and Eastern Europe.

Since 2009, Andra has been involved in local and international projects in cooperation with different cultural institutions and organizations, such as the Timishort International Film Festival, the Romanian National Opera House in Timisoara, the MitOst e.V. and the cultural agency inter:est Kulturprojekte in Berlin.

Project coordinator in Timişoara (Romania) for the development of a cultural guide to the city: coordination of the local team and of the project work, public relations - collaboration with local partners and the local media.
