Wiebke Stadler was working as Robert Bosch cultural manager from 2009 till 2011 in Skopje, Macedonia at the NGO Kontrapunkt. She is currently working as project manager in the field of arts education for the foundation mercator.
After her stay in Macedonia she worked for one year as a member of the curatorial team of MS Dockville Kunstcamp in Hamburg and meanwhile co-initiated the international online discussion platform www.kuma-talks.eu.
From 2009 to 2011, Wiebke Stadler’s chief responsibility was the development and leadership of the NGO Kontrapunkt’s cultural program. The central aim of her work included trans-regional collaborations with cultural workers to stimulate dialog and exchange and to work together to improve the working conditions for art and culture. The content of her work concerned questions regarding the use and acquisition of urban spaces and new media.
Before Wiebke Stadler went to Macedonia, she worked for several film festivals, among them the International Filmfestspiele in Berlin, and helped with the realization of the exhibition “Sexarbeit” in the Museum der Arbeit in Hamburg. As a cultural sciences student, she was already initiating and organizing events and lectures related to culture and science in collaboration with institutions in Germany, France and Latin America.
